Library
Your personal collection of saved works. Notes, highlights, tags, and search across everything you've kept.
Saving a work
- Click Save to library on any detail page.
- Or press s on a detail page — same thing, faster.
Local vs cloud
- Anonymous users get a private library stored in the browser's localStorage. Nothing leaves your device. Use Export JSON to back it up.
- Signed-in users get a cloud library that syncs across every device they sign in from.
Switching from anonymous to signed-in does not auto-merge — your local library stays in localStorage and the cloud library starts fresh. To migrate, export the local one and re-save the works while signed in.
Notes
Each saved work has a freeform note field. Edit inline on the library page (click the “Add a note...” button) or in the Notes & highlights panel on the work's detail page. Notes are searchable from the library page's search box.
Highlights
Highlights are short snippets attached to a work — quotes you want to remember, key sentences, etc. Add them from the Notes & highlights panel on the detail page. They show up as count badges on library cards.
Up to 200 highlights per work, 1000 chars each.
Tags
Tag works with hashtag-style labels (no # needed when typing). Tags appear as chips you can click to filter. Filter by tag from the Tags row above the work list.
Search & filter
The search box matches title, author, note, and tags. The type toggle filters by Books / Papers / All. The sort dropdown supports recently saved, first saved, title, year newest, year oldest.
Reading lists in the library
Saved reading lists appear in their own section above the works list. Each list card supports export (Markdown / BibTeX / RIS) and removal.
