Compare papers

Pick two or three works from your library and Kvire generates a side-by-side AI comparison: what each is about, how the methods differ, where they agree, where they diverge, and what order to read them in.

How to start a comparison

  1. Open your Library.
  2. Click Compare… in the top right of the library header.
  3. Click the works you want to compare — they get numbered (1, 2, 3) in the order you select.
  4. When you have at least 2 selected, click Compare N works → in the floating bar at the bottom.

You can pick at most 3 works at a time. Mix books and papers freely — the AI adapts the prompt accordingly.

What you get

The comparison page streams in six sections in parallel:

  • What each is about — distinctive contribution of each.
  • Methods — methodology (papers) or approach (books) compared.
  • Findings — central claims or arguments side by side.
  • Where they agree — points of convergence.
  • Where they disagree — incompatible claims or framings. The model says “they don't really overlap” when that's the honest answer.
  • Recommended reading order — and why.

Stable labels

The model refers to each work by a short label (last name + year, e.g. Lin 1991). The labels are deterministic so you can scan and re-read without losing track of which is which.

Caching

Comparison results are cached by the set of work IDs (order-insensitive), so coming back to the same comparison loads instantly without re-billing.
