About
About Kvire
Kvire is an AI writing assistant for researchers — and it also knows the literature. Paste a draft for peer-review-grade feedback, rewrite passages inline, or search 250M papers and books.
Why this exists
Most discovery tools stop at “here's a list of titles.” Kvire goes one step further and synthesises what each work is about, what its method is, where it fits, and how it compares to others — all before you decide whether to commit a few hours to reading it.
For deep reading you still go to the original. But for the first 90 seconds of evaluating a paper, Kvire saves a lot of opening tabs.
How it's built
- Catalog — OpenAlex (papers) and Open Library (books).
- AI — Anthropic's Claude (Sonnet) for synthesis, lenses, ask, and compare.
- Stack — Next.js 15, React 19, TypeScript. Hosted on Vercel.
- Storage — Supabase Postgres for user data, Upstash Redis for cache and rate limits.
What we're not
- Not a replacement for reading the paper.
- Not a citation manager (use Zotero / EndNote / etc. — we export to them).
- Not a publisher — we don't host the works themselves, just the metadata + AI layer.
